Stephanie Frederick has a B.S. Ed. Degree from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) with teaching credentials in mathematics and psychology. She taught in Klein ISD for 7 years, and then remained home to be a homemaker and a mom, homeschooling in the early years. Stephanie has taught in the PREP program since 2002. She also teaches private piano lessons. She and her husband, Dale, a retired public school teacher, have 4 sons, one of whom is married with their first grandchild, proudly serving in the USAF.

This class is appropriate for students who have successfully completed a year of Pre-Algebra and have strong problem-solving skills. Class time will be spent teaching algebra concepts and applications. Students must be able to take detailed notes (quickly) from the board and copy examples worked in class to review at home. Students will use the textbook as a resource for reference, daily homework assignments, and test review.

Topics covered:
Often, we will apply concepts to real life situations. Students will be expected to complete word problems. Graphing will be integrated into the teaching.
If a student drops the class after September 15, there will be a withdrawal fee of two months' tuition. For all monthly tuition paid after the 10th of the month, a $10 late fee will be assessed. This pre-calculus course is the culmination of all math courses, with the addition of Trigonometry. Students learn how algebra and geometry are related and applied in the real world.
