Prerequisite:  Completion of High School Latin 1 at PREP Classes (students entering this class from another program will be asked to take an entrance exam to ensure readiness).

Students will continue their study through Henle’s excellent First Year Latin text either finishing up the book or coming close to finishing the text by the end of the year. This will bring the student to near completion of the Latin grammar, preparing them to read Caesar’s Gallic Wars in Latin 3.

As in Latin 1, both the National Latin Exam and National Etymology Exam will be offered to students.

Students can expect to work a full 60 minutes per day and will earn one high school foreign language credit upon completion of this year.
